How to throw a Fabulous Galentine’s Party for your best gals!

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and while you’re planning something special for the man in your life, why not also plan something fun for those fabulous gals who always have your back? Best friends should be celebrated! I have the best friends a gal could ever hope for and I can not wait to celebrate our friendship over some amazing cocktails, appetizers, a night of chatting, and maybe a movie or two. Today on the blog I’m sharing some fun ways you can spruce up your place and throw a fabulous Galentine’s Day Party!

Pink, Red, White, maybe a little purple… Get your house all spruced up with the colors of the season! I had so much fun decorating our little house for the Galentine’s party! This year the gals and I decided to go to a movie to celebrate our friendship, but I thought we could have a little fun beforehand as well.

First things first… I had to decorate the place! This is one of my favorite parts of planning and executing a party! So here’s how I decorated! I bought some fun heart wall hangs, heart balloons, a tassel banner, and some fun cake stands. I decorated the top of our piano all festive with cute little felt hearts, some red votives, some pictures of me and my love, and candles. I also used a pink scarf as the runner for a pop of color. Then I strung up those fun heart wall hangs throughout the living room. I added the tassel banner to the China cabinet and used the cake stands to hold some of the cutest and most delicious cupcakes from AmyCakes!

Cocktails

I looked for some fun drinks on Pinterest and there were so many options, it was hard to decide. I wanted something fun and flirty, but I also didn’t have to spend a ton on alcohol. I found a really fun easy drink to make… cotton candy and pink moscato! It was SO sweet… I think I liked the before look even more than the drink. If you love sweet things, this is the drink for you!

Food/ Appitizers

Since we weren’t staying in, I figured apps and drinks would be the best to get the party started. I’m not huge on baking or cooking, so I ordered some of the cutest, must scrumptious cup cakes from Amy Cakes! And have fun styling everything! Bring out your cake stands, fun plates and platters to display all the goodies in a beautiful way. I have always wanted to buy a cake stand and while shopping at Target I found a couple I loved, so they definitely came home with me! I also served some chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate, strawberries, goat cheese and crackers and conversation hearts.

Photo booth + party favors

This is one of my favorite parts of a party! I love making fun photo props or buying some to use and create super cute and fun pictures! And why not send your guests home with a little gift bag?! I filled up the cute llama gift bags with some chocolate, a fun sparkly fingernail polish, and a cotton candy scented bath bomb!

We ended our Galentine’s Party going to the movies for a special feature and showing of the “Moulin Rouge,” and it was the best way to end the evening! We sang, danced, laughed, cried, and reminisced on our many girls nights in college watching that exact movie!

You still have time to do something fun with your girl friends and I hope you find inspiration from this post! Don’t feel like you have to go all out on a HUGE party, sometimes the simplest things are the best! So call your girlfriends over to your place for some drinks and apps, a dinner or a brunch, a movie night with lots of popcorn or make a reservation at one of your favorite restaurants.

Happy Galentines Day, you lovely ladies!
