Hello Wonderful Friends and Happy Easter! I hope you all have a wonderful day with family celebrating Easter and all that it stands for! I don’t normally post on Sundays, but with this being such a special day, I decided to tell you what Easter is to me and show you my Easter outfit.
I love Easter so much! I grew up in a christian household, went to church at least 3 times every week and knew from a very young age who Jesus was. I sang all the little songs in kids church, you know “ Jesus loves me…” and went to Sunday school where the bible stories were depicted on felt board. Anyone else remember those days? I remember all the fun we would have on Easter- painting eggs, going to church, and having an Easter egg hunt. There is just something so fun about Easter egg hunts! Even to this day, I love hunting for eggs, especially if they’re filled with cash.(the adult version) But Easter is far more than a day to dress cute in our fancy dresses or suits, or a fun Easter egg hunt- it is about a day in history that changed everything. All my life, I have been celebrating the meaning of Easter and it never gets old- It brings me to tears and joy all at the same time! So why do I get all teary eyed and joyful- the good news is too good to hold back- I have to tell you!
Easter weekend is one of the most incredible historical events of all time. The cross was one of the most gruesome, agonizing, shameful, and worst ways to die and left for the worst criminals. Yet, on a day 2000 years ago, Jesus- a man without sin, God’s only son, was crucified for the world. You see, the bible says that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and that the wages of sin is death. And on that day, Jesus took our shame and the sins of the world upon himself, he suffered and died the worst death for US! The cross says ‘you are a sinner. you are under the sentence of death,’ but the cross also shows us Gods love for us and says ‘ I love you. No matter what you have done-how bad you have been- I love you.” This is the good news! The Cross is a pardon for our sins, none of us deserved it, but God is love and God is grace and mercy, and through his obedience to the father in death, we have been pardoned. We are free from the bondage of death! And not only did He die for us, but just like Jesus said he would, he rose again! He is alive!
I accepted Christ Jesus into my heart at a very young age and I have never looked back. Today is a day in which I not only think about the decision I made to ask Christ into my heart, but I also get to reflect on His goodness, grace and unfathomable love for me as his daughter and for the world.
Jesus loves you so much and he wants to make himself known to you! He died for you… to make you whole… to make you a son/ daughter of the king… to transform your life… to give you a greater understanding of un-conditional love- AND to give you life after death. He made a way for you- he is the door… and it’s a gift! All you have to do to receive this gift is ask! Ask him into your heart today… ask him to transform your life… ask him to be your provider…. ask him to be your God… all you have to do is ask!
My Easter dress wasn’t anything new this year, but it is one of my favorite little dresses. I bought this dress from Old Navy a couple years back and I absolutely love the color and the fun sheer billowy sleeves. I love wearing it in the summer with some sandals, with leggings ( like I am today), and with my skinny jeans for a more casual look.

I love the dress! It’s so cute. I’m not religious at this point, but I was raised Catholic and the holiday masses were always my favorites – Easter and Christmas especially, but also Palm Sunday.
