Liebster Award!

I was extremely excited to get word that I was nominated for the Liebster Award by two amazing bloggers- Kaitlyn Rose of the http://theskincarepharmd.com/thelatest/liebster-award and Gina from the http://www.theprofessionalwomanblog.com/about-me/ . Both of their blogs are great and are completely different and unique! Make sure you stop by their page and read some of their blogs! Do it- check them out!
With so many blog awards going around, you may be wondering “what is the Liebster Award all about?” Well,  the Liebster Award recognizes bloggers for their impact on the blogging community and is designed to help smaller bloggers (less than 1000 followers) get noticed! Thank you both, Kaitlyn and Gina, for taking the time to read some of my blog posts and to nominate me for this award… I am so humbled, honored and excited! I accept this award and am so incredibly blessed and excited to see where the blogging journey will lead me!
Since I was nominated by both wonderful ladies, I will be trying my best to answer all the questions they asked and then choosing 5 other bloggers to nominate. Here are the rules for the Liebster Nominees:
RULES FOR THE NOMINATED
1. Write a blog post in acceptance of your award.
2.  Link the blog post back to the skincare pharmD
3. Nominate at least 5 other startup bloggers
4. Include a list of questions you’d like them to answer & notify them.
5. Answer my questions below! 🙂

Here are my questions from Kaitlyn! 😁
Nominee questions:
1. What inspired you to start blogging?
Honestly, I began blogging as a fun outlet for myself! I was at a place in life where I felt like all I ever did was talk about music and teaching and violin. (I am a violin instructor and an orchestra teacher). I wanted to have something that was mine outside of work and I have always enjoyed writing, so I decided to try it out! I also began blogging during Music in our Schools month and wanted to showcase my classroom, my students ideas about music and the fabulous musicians that agreed to share their talents with my classes! If interested in reading, head here! But over the summer, my blog has become much more… now I write about life, experiences and anything that I feel God is placing on my heart. I also love beauty and fashion and being encouraging, so there are pages for those things on the blog as well!
2. What are your 6 month blogging goals? How do you plan to accomplish them?
Wow, honestly I haven’t thought about that much, which is a little strange, since I am a total perfectionist and very goal oriented! O guess right now, my goal is to continue to be able to engage with my readers, wrote about what I love and hopefully connect and remind others of certain memories, and help inspire and encourage others always! I would love to become an affiliate with a company and would love to start earning some money for blogging also. I think I get nervous of these things, since I haven’t tried them before and feel completely overwhelmed.
3. If you could live ANYWHERE in the world, where would you live?
That is a really tough question. I love so many places and have had the opportunity to travel to Europe to see the incredible beauty of so many countries as well, so U.S. or Europe??? While I love the architecture and the beauty of the land in Europe, I would be way too far away from family. So if in the U.S., I would want to be in a place where I can see the mountains, the beautiful plains and fields, have streams and possibly the ocean, and big trees! I have seen pictures before of some sections of Colorado and I think that could be beautiful place to live!
4. What would be one piece of advice you’d offer to new bloggers?
Do your thing and don’t try to be anyone but yourself! People will love your authenticity and will appreciate you being real about life and your blogging journey! We always like to talk about the good parts of blogging or life, and many times the bad and hard times get overlooked. While  those may not be as fun to write about, it will resonate with other readers who have similar thoughts or experiences.
5. Who is your favorite blogger and why?
I would have to say one of my favorite bloggers is Lindsey from www.sparrowsandlily.com.  She is one of the most Godly, encouraging women I have found online and if you’re not following her on IG you should! She is such a beautiful soul! @sparrowsandlily

Here are my questions from Gina! 😁

1. What is your blog about?
Well, my blog is mainly about life, events, my thoughts, and what I feel God has placed on my heart! I write about things I love or things I have recently experienced, as well as, nutrition, fitness, and I have pages for beauty and fashion! My blog is a lifestyle blog in which I explore all the things I love!
2. What made you create your blog?
Same as above 👆

3. What are your career/blogging aspirations
?

I don’t know right now about my aspirations with my blog or teaching… all I can say is that I want to always get better at whatever I am doing! I hope to continue to grow my blog readers, my IG followers and most importantly continue to meet more and more amazing people and build friendships! As for school, I hope to always help my students enjoy music, begin to have a love of music, and always get better and better in my teaching techniques.
4. Where do you see yourself in 2 years?
Honestly, I have no idea! I always hate these questions because as much as I love to plan, I have no idea what God has for me in the future and I used to get really nervous about it, but now I think it is kind of cool to not know! I just want to continue to do my best in everything and look for open doors. I see myself still teaching, but as far as the blog goes, I would definitely like to be more established, have more readers and possibly be an affiliate for a company and be making some money.
5. What do you like to do in your free time ?(besides blogging)
I love hanging out with friends, watching old vintage movies… they are my all time favorites, exploring towns and parks, hiking, kayaking, (being out in nature), laying out at the pool, playing violin, painting and drawing and sometimes reading! ( after my masters degree and having to read so much, I have had a hard time getting back into reading books)
6. What advice do you have for woman looking to start their careers/blogs?
I think my biggest advise would be don’t be afraid to ask for help! We don’t all know everything when it comes to our jobs and/or blogging and by being vulnerable and asking for help from others, you learn more and you may just gain another friend!
7. Where is one place you always wanted to visit?
Greece… hands down! It just looks like the most beautiful relaxing place!

( I mean, beautiful, right?! How could you not want to visit this beauty)

8. If you had to choose two social media platforms to use for the rest of your life what would it be?
Probably Instagram and Facebook! I love both of these and am the most familiar with them! I love Instagram for all the beauty and Facebook for keeping up with family and friends
9. Top 3 tips/advice to be successful.

  1. Never give up… if you know you’re doing the right thing and have a peace, keep going, even when it’s tough!
  2. Plan your posts out well! Make sure you think about what you will want to write about, brainstorm, and then go for it! Also- make sure when planning that you plan out a schedule for your posts. When will you be posting.. if you know, then you will be more fueled to get your posts done and posted and your readers will know when to expect another post!
  3. Be yourself! This is a 100% super important thing, not only for you, but for your readers! Be genuine… there is only one you and that is special!

10. What is something about you that someone else can learn from?

It’s alright to take a break or a breather. If you feel like you have to post too much or feel pressure to post or be “On” all the time, you are gonna get rundown and your posts will reflect this. I thought, ” I have to keep going..” but then I realized that I was causing myself to be super blocked.
