Fashion and Fun this Fourth!

Ya’ll I am getting super excited about the Fourth of July!!!! Fireworks, Friends, Family, BBQ’s, and the Red, White, and Blue- it’s almost here! I would say that after Christmas and Thanksgiving, the 4th of July is my next favorite holiday!!! I love being able to spend the day outdoors with lots of awesome food and great company and spend the evenings watching the beautiful firework displays and of course, playing with the sparklers ( I’m a little scared of the bigger fireworks). fireworks.jpeg

This fourth of July I am so extremely excited to get to hang out with my beautiful family. I haven’t been able to spend the 4th with them in so long due to us all being in different states. Erik and Katelyn, my brother and sister-in-law, moved to California a couple years ago and luckily Dave and I had the opportunity to visit them 2 summers in a row. Here are a couple pics of them and some fun Cali pics of us!

My sister, Emily went to school in Indiana and my parents live in a western suburb outside of Chicago, called St. Charles, IL. Well….Recently my sister and my brother moved to the Tennessee area, close to Nashville, so now its just a 7 hour drive from Springfield!!!! Dave won’t be able to travel with me since he has to work, so I will have to entertain myself on the drive. I used to get really nervous about driving more than 5 hours alone, but over the last couple years I’ve had to travel alone and have just had to suck it up and find things that will make the journey seem shorter. One thing I found that helped the time pass quickly was listening to T Swift and singing all her songs at the top of my lungs (if you haven’t tried it, you should it is super liberating).  So I’m gearing up for my journey to Nashville and getting super excited because this 4th of July I will be hanging out with my sister, my brother and sis-in-law, the sweetest, cutest niece, and my amazing parents!

I am so grateful that I can visit my family and have this chance to hang out with them and fellowship. But, for real one of the most exciting things for me is spending some more time with my cute niece, Charlotte!!! Isn’t she the cutest thing you ever saw?!

Erik (my brother) and Katelyn and Charlotte! The sweetest family! 💕

This will be her first time getting to experience the fireworks (hopefully) and the fun festivities.🇺🇸❤️💙🎇

Fashions for your fourth!!! Yass!

Along with all the fun festivities, friends/family, and the course the amazing food, I also enjoy the fashion. I love seeing the different looks that everyone has whether it be super chill, vintage, dressy, or more country… be you, but have some fun with the red, white and blue colors, no matter your style! you choose!  I personally like a lot of different styles and I always have a hard time figuring out what I want to wear (it also depends on what I’m up to that day). I’ve come up with a lot of cute ideas for this coming 4th and I’m super excited to share them with you!

Maybe one of these looks will help inspire you and your awesome 4th of July look! You could even mix and match some of the styles!

Look #1- Chic Beauty!  The off the shoulder look is really trending this summer! Here is a super cute blue/ white gingham off the should blouse from Target. Jean shorts, black backpack purse (Target), strap sandals and sunglasses to complete the look! In the pics, I am wearing a red beaded bracket from World Market!

Look #2- Country Beauty!  Simple, causal look with my awesome Nashville cowgirl boots! Break out your “country” during this patriotic holiday!

Tank- Target, Denim shorts- Old Navy

Add a brown purse, your cute “cowgirl” boots and some sunglasses!

Look #3- Patriotic Beauty!  Red, white and Blue is all over this fashion statement! Lightweight flag shrug- Target, a simple tank, short denim skirt, black backpack purse, fun American flag sunglasses and stylish open booties! If you want to dress down a little more, add some strapie flat sandals!

Look #4- Floral Rocker Beauty! Rolling Stones tank, black backpack purse, fun summery floral skirt, cutout booties, and sunglasses!

Whatever you choose to wear, make sure you have fun with it! Didn’t add any red lips for any of the pics, but that is one of my favorite things to wear on July 4th!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful time celebrating and looking awesome!!! ❤️💙🙌🏻 peace!

  1. I bought one of the USA tops at Target as well. The material is so soft and it’s so comfy. Been sleeping in it a lot. 😛

    Love your outfits!

    1. I really like that too! 🙌🏻I also tried my boho skirt with that same shirt and a cool necklace and that may be even better! ❤️❤️ check it out under the fashion page! I hope your fourth is fantastic as well!
