Today is the last day of March, which means the last day of ” Music in our Schools month. ” But it is not the end of music advocacy… that will always happen from teachers, parents, administrators, and students! I have so enjoyed reading the comments of my students throughout March and I hope you have enjoyed reading some of them on this blog!
With it being the last day of ” Music in our Schools,” I thought it would be fitting to send a shout out to the many music teachers I look up to in Springfield and am happy to be friends with!
MUSIC ROCKS! YOU ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN KIDS LIVES… YOUR CLASSES ARE IMPORTANT AND THE STUDENTS LOVE THEM! BE THE INSPIRATION THAT HOOKS YOUR STUDENTS AND GETS THEM EXCITED!
All my orchestra teachers here in Springfield… You all Rock! You work so hard to teach your students and you have such a passion for music and your instruments! Thank you all for loving your students, pushing them to greater limits and never letting them give up! Thank you for advocating for the arts in Springfield.
Andy Johnston and Esther Clifton- Thank you for taking me in during my student teaching and giving me a great place to learn! I loved doing my student teaching with both of you and will forever remember my time at Glendale, Parkview and Jarrett Middle Schools. Thank you for continuing to push for our programs and fight for our kids.
Liz Johnston and Lisa Fent- I absolutely love you ladies!!! I am so blessed to have you both as friends and people that I can look up to, ask questions, and be myself with. ( Not that I can’t with everyone else, but we just have that kind of friendship).
There are so many things that I could say about each of you, but I am just so happy to be a part of the things going on in Springfield with music… we have a lot to be proud of! I love you all!!! Keep working hard and remember the reasons you began teaching and Enjoy the weekend… Hallelujah it is FRIDAY!!!!
WELL OFF TO PLAY SOME STRAVINSKY… Happy Friday All!
